Association of Professional Photographers of the MYPH School of Conceptual and Art Photography
The MYPH Association of Professional Photographers is a creative community that brings together graduates, instructors, and members of the artistic environment around the ideas of contemporary photography, critical thinking, and authorial expression.
The Association was founded to support and promote conceptual and art photography created by artists who share the values of the MYPH School: independence, artistic courage, ethical responsibility, and reflection on social processes.
Purpose of the Association:
- Creating a professional community of photographers focused on artistic expression.
- Supporting authorial projects that possess deep conceptual content and a research-oriented approach.
- Developing a discussion field around contemporary photography and encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue.
- Representing Association members on the Ukrainian and international art scene.
- Creating an environment of support, experience exchange, and mentorship for emerging authors.
Who Can Apply:
- Graduates of the MYPH School (from any cohort).
- Active members of the MYPH community who create photographic series with a clear conceptual approach.
- Artists working in art or conceptual photography who share the values of the school.

You Can Join the MYPH Community If You:
- Work in the field of conceptual, art, or research-based photography.
- Create projects that have a clear idea, visual language, and philosophical or social foundation.
- Think of photography as a way of engaging in dialogue with time, culture, yourself, and society.
- Are ready to work with themes important to the contemporary Ukrainian context or global challenges.
Applicant Status
If the portfolio does not yet fully meet the requirements, the applicant may be granted the status of Candidate for Membership for up to one year, with the possibility of joining after further development of the work.
Requirements for Admission:
- Recommendations from two members of the MYPH community.
- At least three years of professional activity in photography.
- A current portfolio containing 1–3 series that demonstrate an authorial concept, visual coherence, and artistic expression.
- A motivation letter explaining your artistic position and vision of participation in the community’s life.
- A biography including membership in MYPH (after acceptance) on social networks, websites, and public platforms.
- Willingness to provide works for publications, exhibitions, editions, and projects curated by MYPH.
Standard Membership Terms Participation in the community is free of charge and includes:
- Access to exhibition, educational, and residency programs.
- Representation on MYPH platforms.
- Participation in internal discussions, portfolio reviews, and mentoring initiatives.
- The opportunity to receive a membership certificate.
- Professional support and recommendations upon request.
Membership May Be Terminated in the Event of:
- Public justification of armed aggression against Ukraine.
- Cooperation with media, institutions, or projects connected with the aggressor state.
- Violation of professional and ethical conduct within the artistic environment.
- Lack of engagement with the community, long-term passivity, or unwillingness to participate in initiatives or projects.
- Absence of relevant artistic practices that resonate with the ideology and methodology of MYPH.
