A Twisted Story

Twisted Story is a deeply personal photography project that explores the inner turmoil and confusion that I experienced during a period of my life. Through a series I sought to capture the intense emotions that I was feeling, including the desire to both hide from the world and break free from my struggles.

Sometimes, it was like a detective story with evidences. I used my camera as a tool for investigation and discovery, capturing images that hinted at hidden truths and uncovered secrets. Each photograph was a piece of the puzzle, offering a glimpse into the complex and often contradictory emotions that I was experiencing.

My creative process involved a great deal of introspection and self-reflection, as I tried to make sense of my own identity and purpose. I experimented with film photography techniques, including the intentional distortion of images, to convey the twisted nature of my own narrative. By using film, I was able to capture a certain rawness and authenticity that I felt was missing from digital photography.

The decision to present the series in black and white was also intentional. I felt that color would distract from the emotional impact of the images, and that the stark contrast of black and white would better convey the intense and often conflicting emotions that I was experiencing.

At its core, Twisted Story is a visual representation of the struggle for self-discovery and the search for meaning in one's life. I hope that my photographs will resonate with others who have experienced similar struggles, and that they will find comfort and inspiration in my story. Ultimately, my goal is to create a sense of connection and understanding, and to use my art to help others find their own path to healing and self-acceptance.
