More about the "Collage as Art" Lecture Course

We will go beyond an image and work with senses, creating artistic projects using collage techniques.

Why Collage?

I came to the technique of collage from photography. In search of an individual style in art, I became fascinated with experiments and manipulations with existing images. This process resembles playing with an infinite number of possibilities. Unlike working with AI, you are the director, and you control reality.

Collage techniques significantly enhance the creative muscle, help break out of creative and psychological blocks, allow you to find your own style and "voice" in art. Moreover, it's a very pleasant art therapeutic process.

What will we learn:

  • Creating collages by hands and using digital tools (exploring the possibilities for collages in Adobe Photoshop).
  • Implementing our own ideas in collages.
  • Exploring the history of art in the context of collage development.
  • Developing storytelling skills. Explore a project as a visual story.
  • Learning a bit more about ourselves and trying to hear our own art voice, which will transform into a unique visual style.
  • Seeing how collage projects can be presented in exhibitions, public spaces, and books.
  • Each participant will create their own collage project for an exhibition or book.
  • Selected projects will become part of the MYPH community.
