Katya Lesiv currently resides and works between Ukraine and Finland.

She earned her Master's degree from the National Academy of Arts and Architecture in Kyiv (2017). Kateryna's artistic practice encompasses various media such as art books, photography, installation, graphics, and video. Her particular interest lies in showcasing the book as an object in space.

Her book "Lullaby 1" made it to the top 100 photo books according to 10×10 Photobooks "How We See: Photobooks by Women." The book "I love you" was shortlisted for the Aperture PhotoBooks Award in 2022.

  • The art book "Lullaby 1" also entered the top 100 world photobooks in «How We See: Photobooks by Women» according to 10х10 Photobooks.

  • She was nominated for the «Ukrsuchfoto» award in the category of Discovery of the Year.

  • The art book «I love you»was shortlisted in the Aperture PhotoBooks Award 2022.

More about the "Book Workshop" course

I'm Katya Lesiv. I work with a book as an artist, photographer, and designer.

"Book Workshop" is a course about working with ideas and finding the precise form for each of your works.

We will explore all the necessary tools for working and experimenting with the book, but we won't limit ourselves. It may happen that your work takes on an entirely new form in the process and becomes not a book but, for example, a video or an installation.
