In the course "Sensitivity of Perception," Taras Bychko will share his decade-long experience in artistic and documentary photography, providing detailed insights into all stages of creating his photographic projects. You will have the opportunity to learn about his personal creative journey, understand how an idea is shaped and realized in a personal photo project.

The lecturer will not only share his photographic discoveries but also offer practical advice and discuss the challenges he encountered on his creative path. You will discover how to find your own perspective and voice in photography, develop your concept, and achieve impressive results in your photographic art.

  • 1. Introduction to participants and the lecturer. Setting goals for project creation.
  • 2-4. From fascination to understanding photography. Ways to master the language of photography.
  • 5-7. The camera as a tool for communication. Looking inside yourself. Finding "your" photographic language.
  • 8-9. Sources of continuous inspiration. "Talent" as an excuse for laziness.
  • 10. Finalization of the participants' photo series and presentation of the collective photo project. Question and answer session.

The author of the course and the instructor is Taras Bychko

Taras Bychko works in the genre of documentary and art photography, is a curator, teacher and judge of various international competitions.

Since 2021, he has been working as a curator of photo projects at the Lviv Municipal Art Center.

The author of the photobooks "Sykhiv" (2020) and "Two Rooms" (2021).

Taras Bychko's photos are featured in the book «100 Great Street Photographs» (Prestel,UK 2017), and his photographs and projects have been published in LFI- Leica Fotography International, Burn Magazine, National Geographic, Lens Culture, 121 cklik, Birdin Flight, The Village, Reporters, and others.

Since 2017, he has been a member of the National Society of Photo Artists of Ukraine. Since 2018, he has been an ambassador for the Fujifilm brand in Ukraine (X photographer).

From 2019, he is a member of the international street photography collective «LittleBoxCollective». He is also one of the founders of the group «Ukrainian Street Photography» (2017).

As a curator, he organized a series of photography exhibitions:

  • 2017 - Group exhibition "Ukrainian Street Photography" at the PHOTO KYIV art fair, Kyiv, Ukraine.

  • 2018 - Exhibition "Signs of Life" by the "Ukrainian Street Photography" group at the PHOTO KYIV art fair, Kyiv, Ukraine.

  • 2019 - Exhibition "Signs of Life" by the "Ukrainian Street Photography" group during the LSP Festival at StourSpace, London, United Kingdom.
