Visual Story of Mykolaiv

"Visual Story of Mykolaiv" - an exhibition featuring the works of 20 authors from the school of conceptual and art photography MYPH, documenting the impact of war on the city of Mykolaiv and the moral-psychological state of the local population. The city, having spent nine months on the front line, endured severe trials, including shelling and the threat of occupation.

This project aims to preserve and present the visual trace of the experience through which the city has gone through, help restore the moral spirit of the local community, and emphasize the exceptional strength and ingenuity of the residents of Mykolaiv, which led to the city being awarded the title of "Hero Сity."

Opening: October 13 at 6:00 PM..

Where: *8 PRYCHAL (Varvariivskyi uzviz 5a, Mykolaiv).
The exhibition will run from October 13 to November 30, 2023.
Exhibition days: Thursday, Friday, Sunday (3:00 PM - 7:00 PM)..

The exhibition features works by the following authors: Viacheslav Teschner, Maxim Holub, Alesia Tyshchuk, Natali Agryzkova, Olena Burya, Andriy Rublevyk, Artem Humilevskyi, Olha Borysenko, Andriy Chebanov, Li Biletska, Maria Gorshkova, Marina Brodovska, Natalia Lebid, Pavlo Luhovyi, Roksolana Zasyadko, Stanislav Ostrous, Tetiana Titkova, Valeriya Mirgorodchenko, Xenia Petrovska, Sergey Melnitchenko.

The project includes not only a contemporary photography exhibition but also 5 public program events:

  • Art Therapy Masterclass
  • Public discussion on the role of culture in the city during wartime
  • Public discussion on the integration of displaced cultural institutions and artists
  • Public dialogues with exhibition participants
  • Curator's tour
