August 22, 2023

At the "Motanka" festival, curators Yevhen Lapchenko and Anna Avetova will showcase a unique exhibition "Rozgostitsa," taking place in the heart of Berlin from August 25 to 27. This captivating exhibition aims to reveal the synchronization of Ukrainian art with European culture and provide a new interpretation of the concept of home in the modern world.

The exhibition features works by more than 30 MYPH authors and Sergey Melnitchenko.

"Rozgostitsa" brings together many artists utilizing diverse creative approaches to reflect the depth of their perception of the world. Through a wide range of works, the exhibition will demonstrate the multifaceted nature of Ukrainian and European art and its universality in the contemporary global context.

The word "Rozgostitsa" expresses the essence of the feeling of any guest who feels at home within a new environment. For anyone who has lost their home, the search for a sense of comfort in a new environment is a personal crisis, the conclusion of which should be an understanding of what is necessary to feel at home.

Home is a source of strength where the material and the spiritual, the personal and the collective, the past and the future converge. It is filled with energy that extends through space and time. It gives us a sense of life and hope for the continuation of our stories. Home is the embodiment of our human existence, our pursuit of harmony, growth, and understanding.
