On June 1, within the walls of the YermilovCentre in Kharkiv, the opening of the collective project "New MYPhologies" took place.

Exhibition August 1, 2023

28 authors, more than 30 projects – this exhibition has become the biggest one in the history of the school. In addition to photography, the exhibition includes art objects, installations, and video art.

The title "New MYPhologies" is a play on words that combines the school's abbreviation with the theme of myth-making. Mythological thinking is fundamental in art, this ancient form of perceiving and understanding the world turns to sensory, emotional comprehension of reality and its imaginative expression.

The project focused on constructed personal worlds that exist by their own rules and are populated by modern gods and heroes. It also explores new legends and myths that authors tell through photography and new media art.

The realization of the collective project "New MYPhologies" has come a long way, as the exhibition was supposed to open in May 2022, but the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine changed the lives of millions of Ukrainians and, along with them, the fate of the project and its participants.
